The client desired a peaceful restaurant near Batticaloa Lagoon, a site abundant in natural light and ventilation. The design incorporates elements of vernacular architecture, blending local culture with modern aesthetics. Repurposed old baskets are used as decorative ornaments, adding unique character while promoting sustainability. The result is a serene, eco-friendly restaurant that harmonizes with its natural surroundings, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The design focuses on sustainability and seamless integration with nature. The entire structure is removable and reassembleable, minimizing environmental impact while offering a tranquil, environmentally conscious dining experience near the lagoon.
